This workbook will provide you with the tools you require to reckon with your Limiting Beliefs.
Most of us have been plagued by Limiting Beliefs at some point in our lives.
Usually at around 1AM, when our brains decide it’s high time to dredge up what we’ve done our best to tuck away behind song lyrics from the ‘90s and the zodiac sign of every Backstreet Boy (even Kevin– a Libra).
I began to realize through my work as a coach that the Limiting Beliefs so many of us grapple with in adulthood often stem from the seeds that were planted in our formative years. The underlying sentiments beneath any and every implication that we were either “too much” or “not enough.”
Whatever you were made to believe you needed to be more of or less of in order to feel connected, seen and secure throughout your formative years is likely still coming into play in more arenas of your life than you realize.
Those narratives are scripted within the subconscious, where they were ingrained back in the days when napping spread-eagle in a damp bathing suit still seemed like a fine idea.
This is the workbook I take the majority of my one-on-one clients through. It’s also the workbook I turn to when I find myself daunted by doubt. Which I am. Often! I know firsthand that these strategies work. I know the tools are as effective as they are easy to implement.
Limiting Beliefs are our Hydra, in a way (the mythological creature that would grow two new heads if a hero lobbed one off). You eliminate one and another will inevitably crop up. We’re never going to eradicate Limiting Beliefs entirely. You’ll encounter new ones as you progress through life– they’ll manifest anywhere and everywhere vulnerability is present. Relationships beginning? Relationships ending? Opportunities in the workplace? Parenthood? Turning another year older?
This acknowledgement is not meant to cause distress.
It’s being made to clarify expectations, and! To point out that this workbook is a resource you’ll be able to revisit time and time again (see? It’s an investment).
